If by help you, you mean convince you to buy one, you’ve come to the right place! Depreciation is pretty much non-existent and I’ve heard maintenance isn’t too bad (because toyota engine). Go for it!

is there a difference between the Elise and Exige or is the Elise the open top version?

Exige is the performance-ier version.

I dunno, I say a couple for less than $30k for sale. There’s got to be a way to swing that.

thats what i thought, but when I GIS’d Exige, they all seemed to have a roof, while most of the Elises had it off

I do love the drop top Elise, but I have driven the Evora for a 24 hour period and that car is AWESOME. my only complaint for it, is that it uses a radio from Best Buy, and if you’re a woman don’t wear a skirt, as getting in and out will make paparazzi jobs easy......

The current generation of Exige are the beefier Elise, with the V6. However, for the last generation, the Elise was just an open-top Exige.

This is tempting as well, especially with the turbo engine!

If you’re in the U.S. - The Exige had 240-260hp and roof you weren’t supposed to take off (though you could if you really wanted to). The Elise had 190-220hp and a roof you could take off.

I love those, but they are way too expensive, even RHD mk1 versions start around €10k over here.
Saw this one today, to remind you how small they are. Okay this is a mk1 but I don’t think the mk2 is that much bigger, but I hope you’re not a big fellow.

I think MK2s are a tad bigger. I’m 6' tall but I know I fit in these, drove one a few years back when my dad had one as a press car. Fond memories!
